The Standards Partnership Scheme

Launched in February 2021, the Standards Partnership Scheme was set up to provide health and care software suppliers with practical support that enables and encourages interoperability through the implementation of information standards.

The aim is for partners to demonstrate best practice and to come together and work with PRSB to accelerate development, adoption and implementation of PRSB standards.

The scheme has been well supported from the outset with 30 partners by the end of 2021. We are pleased that system leaders in the NHS and social care welcomed its introduction and recognise its positive impact in enabling interoperability, which will ultimately ensure health and care records deliver high quality information whenever and wherever it is needed for care.

Many of our partner organisations choose to undergo conformance assessment and receive the PRSB Quality Mark, demonstrating that their products comply with PRSB standards, which is widely recognised across the NHS and social care by those who purchase IT systems.

Early joiners provided us with great feedback on the scheme and ideas for further inclusion. From June 2021, we delivered the first of six interactive workshops for our partners, which offer a great forum for discussion, shared learning, insights and networking. Partners help determine the workshop content and contribute to the programme.

‘It’s great to meet people in the field and get discussions going.
