UK-wide standards
PRSB has always been committed to developing standards for Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland because information should flow digitally to every care setting.
Previously we have engaged with and collaborated with the devolved nations on discrete pieces of work. In 2021 the PRSB Board took a proactive decision to build a UK-wide perspective into the DNA of PRSB’s work and messaging by cultivating our relationships with national leaders, commissioners and suppliers and sharing learning among all four nations.
We are delighted with the progress we have made: bringing the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges of Wales and the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges of Scotland on board as new members, engaging Digital Health and Care Wales, Scottish Government, Digital Health and Social Care Scotland and the National Care Service in Scotland as well as Digital Health and Care Northern Ireland, consulting our UK-wide representatives on our strategy and standards development priorities and co-producing standards including the shared decision making standard, the diabetes standard, and the palliative and end of life care information standard with professional colleagues and people from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
